Description
Effect: A rather lowering bit, the classic 3 rings has a more direct leverage effect than the German 3 rings. The double jointed barrel makes this bit more comfortable in the mouth by freeing up the discomfort zone on the palate, and the rings on the central break help the horse to relax in work.
Advice for use: This bit can be used with reins fixed on the bottom ring, with rings or with two pairs of reins. Its slightly thinner barrel size than a standard barrel will allow a little more finesse in what you are trying to achieve. The rings can allow a horse to be more concentrated in the work and more with his bit.
Material
Blue Steel oxidizes when in contact of air and humidity creating a thin layer of rust which has a sweet taste that will naturally stimulate the production of saliva. By salivating more, horses will take the bit more. With this oxidizing process, the bit color will turn into a greyish brown.
