Expert opinion
: The Milton two ring bit is a titanium bit with a double break with a tongue hole. The shape of its barrel offers room for the horse's tongue. For this reason, it is particularly suitable for horses with a sensitive tongue that can shake their head with a more conventional bit. The quality of the finish of its sweet iron barrel and the fineness of the breaks make it particularly comfortable. The Milton bits will never push against the sides of the palate or exert uneven pressure on the bars. A very comfortable bit that naturally follows the shape of the tongue. The loose rings provide a soft contact without leverage and allow easy play in the fingers to relax the horse's forehand. This bit is an excellent option for a sensitive horse that may tend to lean on a straight anatomical bit.
Material
Sweet Iron: Sweet Iron alloy oxidizes upon contact with moisture in the mouth and air. The oxidation brings a sweet taste that naturally stimulates the production of saliva. This corresponds to the effect of a sugar that is given to the horse at the beginning of the session but allows to diffuse this sweet taste throughout the work. Therefore, this alloy allows a good acceptance of the bit and helps the horse to make contact with the mouthpiece. The oxidation modifies the aspect of the bit during the sessions.
