Expert opinion : The BR 3 rings bit is a double jointed with a pleasant light contact. It allows a good relaxation of your horse's mouth by a smooth transmission of your aids. Unlike the single jointed which acts on the palate, the double jointed acts on the tongue without causing pain. It is important to know that the palate of the horse is a sensitive area that should not be neglected. Its barrel is thin which allows the horse not to have too much material in the mouth. The 3 rings has a lowering/raising effect and helps you to tip the weight backwards. You can hang the reins fixed on the bottom ring or with rings on the middle and bottom ring. The soft contact barrel allows a better distribution of pressure on the whole tongue. The barrel is anatomically curved. Ideal for horses that are sensitive but may be uneven in contact. The central part of the barrel lies flat on the tongue. This creates more pressure, the thicker the middle part, the more pressure on the tongue.
