Expert opinion
Expert opinion : The Abbey single snaffle bit allows the horse to be well channeled. Unlike the double snaffle bit which acts on the tongue, the single snaffle bit acts on the palate and the sides of the tongue. It is important to know that the palate of the horse is a sensitive area that should not be neglected. The Abbey MacGenis bit is slightly rounded on the edges of the barrel, which gives it a stronger action. It can be recommended for horses that are relatively easy to handle but not very sensitive in the mouth or with a hollow palate. The copper rollers encourage the horse to play with the bit, provoking salivation and reinforcing the relaxation of the mouth. The needles placed on both sides of the mouth allow for easier lateral flexion control in a young horse. They make the bit more directional.
Material
Stainless steel : Stainless steel is a common alloy that does not oxidize. By their nature, stainless steel bits are very strong and do not get damaged over time. This bit has copper rollers which give a pleasant taste to the horse when it comes into contact with its mouth.
