Eggbutt Elliptical Cable - Bombers

The Bombers cable double-jointed eggbutt bit is particularly suitable for horses that need greater consistency in the contact. Its flexible action follows the rider's aids while maintaining good stability in the mouth.

The cable double-jointed mouthpiece distributes pressure between the tongue, bars and corners of the mouth. At rest, the cable allows the mouthpiece to maintain its initial position; when rein pressure is applied, it flexes and increases pressure more on the bars and corners of the mouth than on the tongue. This flexibility also allows a more independent action from each rein.

Sweet Iron naturally oxidises when exposed to moisture and encourages salivation. This can improve acceptance of the bit and encourage the horse to establish a more consistent contact with the mouthpiece.

The eggbutt rings provide lateral stability and reduce unwanted movement around the corners of the mouth. They create a steadier contact than loose rings and contribute to consistent communication between the rider's hand and the horse's mouth.

Sweet Iron naturally oxidises when exposed to moisture in the horse's mouth and to air. This oxidation creates a slightly sweet taste that encourages salivation and can improve acceptance of the bit and contact with the mouthpiece. Oxidation gradually changes the appearance of the bit with use.

Warning: The central material (cable) is vulnerable and is not guaranteed by the manufacturer against wear caused by biting. It is strongly recommended not to use a bit that is excessively damaged, as it could injure the horse's bars, tongue or palate.
