Eggbutt Gag Elliptical Cable - Bombers

The Bombers loose lever eggbutt cable double-jointed bit is particularly suitable for horses that need to maintain consistent contact while improving balance and responsiveness to the rider's hand.

Its double-jointed cable mouthpiece combines articulation with flexibility. At rest, the cable maintains its initial position before flexing when rein pressure is applied, directing more pressure towards the bars and corners of the mouth while limiting pressure on the tongue. This flexibility also allows a more independent action from each rein.

The Sweet Iron mouthpiece naturally oxidises when exposed to moisture and air. This oxidation develops a slightly sweet taste that encourages salivation and can support acceptance of the bit and a more consistent contact.

The eggbutt cheeks provide lateral stability and protect the corners of the mouth from pinching. Combined with the lifting action and its specific cheekpieces, they help influence the horse's balance and carriage. The bit can be used with two or four reins, or with roundings.

Sweet Iron naturally oxidises when exposed to moisture from the horse's mouth and to air. This oxidation develops a slightly sweet taste that encourages salivation and can improve acceptance of the bit and contact. Oxidation gradually changes the appearance of the bit with use.

Warning: The central material (cable) is vulnerable and is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty against wear caused by biting. It is strongly advised not to use a bit that is excessively damaged, as it could injure the horse's bars, tongue or palate.
