Expert opinion
: The Zilco olive bit is a single-break bit. It allows for accurate transmission of your aids. Unlike the double bit which acts on the tongue, the single bit acts on the palate. It is important to know that the palate of the horse is a sensitive area that should not be neglected. It can be recommended for horses with a hollow palate or not very sensitive palate. The olive bit has oval-shaped rings. They rotate only along one axis of rotation, which prevents any pinching of the corner of the mouth.
