The Trust flexible leather straight tandem bit is designed for strong or energetic horses requiring additional control while maintaining comfortable contact. Its straight mouthpiece may also suit horses that struggle to establish consistent contact with jointed bits.

The flexible straight mouthpiece distributes pressure across the tongue and bars while avoiding direct contact with the palate. It provides symmetrical rein action and encourages consistent contact without pinching associated with joints.

Natural leather provides a soft, comfortable feel in the mouth. It quickly adapts to the horse's mouth temperature and may encourage chewing and salivation. Its flexibility follows mouth movements and can help the horse seek a more consistent connection.

The tandem combines the action of a bit and a hackamore, applying pressure to the nose, mouth and lower jaw through the curb chain. Available with short or long shanks, it allows the leverage effect to be adapted, while the curb chain adjustment influences the intensity of the action.

This bit requires precise rein aids and careful adjustment to avoid excessive pressure. A curb chain cover can be used to improve comfort for sensitive horses.

Leather: Leather is a natural material that provides soft, comfortable contact in the horse's mouth. It encourages chewing and salivation, while moisture gradually helps soften the material. Unlike metal, leather quickly adapts to the temperature of the horse's mouth, which may improve bit acceptance, particularly in cold weather.

Trust leather bits are handcrafted in the Netherlands. They feature a reinforced nylon core covered with stitched, naturally tanned leather. To maintain flexibility, it is recommended to oil the leather approximately every five uses.
