: A ring cheek piece introduces poll pressure as well as creating leverage on the mouthpiece, the 2½ Ring version is the softest out of the 3 or 4 ring alternatives as the ½ ring softens the leverage on the mouthpiece and poll. The Segundo is a three piece broken bit, with the middle component representing a port angled at 45 degrees, which alleviates tongue pressure while keeping an even pressure on the bars, encouraging the horse to stay light to the contact.

Material
Sweet iron : Sweet Iron alloy oxidizes in contact with the humidity of the mouth and the air. The oxidation brings a sweet taste that naturally stimulates the production of saliva. This corresponds to the effect of a sugar that is given to the horse at the beginning of the session but allows to diffuse this sweet taste throughout the work. Therefore, this alloy allows a good acceptance of the bit and helps the horse to make contact with the mouthpiece. The oxidation modifies the aspect of the bit during the sessions.
