Expert opinion : The Dexter single snaffle bit from Zilco. It allows a good relaxation of your horse's mouth thanks to its resin alloy. Unlike the double snaffle bit which acts on the tongue, the single snaffle bit acts on the palate. It is important to know that the palate of the horse is a sensitive area that should not be neglected. It can be recommended for horses with a hollow palate. The resin allows a more pleasant and relaxing contact. Especially in winter, when stainless steel bits cause a cold effect in the mouth, resin bits are not and play a more important role in relaxation. Mainly used in the racing industry.
Soft resin : This alloy offers a softer contact that encourages relaxation. Resin bits remain at room temperature. They offer a soft contact but are less soft and thick than a rubber jaw.
Caution : This material is vulnerable and is not guaranteed by the manufacturer against wear and tear due to biting. We strongly advise against using a bit that is too damaged, as this could injure the horse's bars, tongue and palate.
