Expert opinion
: The straight leather bit from Zilco provides a better distribution of pressure points with its straight barrel. It acts globally on the tongue and the bars. It is recommended for horses with a sensitive palate or a flat palate. The straight bit allows the rider to obtain a symmetrical action. It is a bit mainly used in the racing industry. The leather covering gives the horse comfort, the contact is more pleasant than a stainless steel bit. The double extension is designed for horses that lock into the driving line. Attach driving lines to the outer ring or inside the ring.
Material
Leather : Leather is a natural material very pleasant for the horse which stimulates chewing and salivation. It avoids the cold contact of some metal bits. The production of saliva softens the leather and makes it more pleasant for the horse.
Caution : This material is vulnerable and is not guaranteed by the manufacturer against wear and tear due to biting. We strongly advise against using a bit that is too damaged, as this could injure the horse's bars, tongue and palate.
