Expert opinion : The williams bit is a flexible straight barrel bit with a resin lever. The rings of the williams (swivel) offer the possibility to use it in different ways. It is possible to put the rein on the middle ring which will remove the leverage action or on the bottom ring to activate the leverage on the horse's neck. It is a bit that encourages bending and improves framing and steering. The soft straight bit will encourage the horse to stretch on its mouthpiece thanks to a more symmetrical contact of the hand towards the mouth. It avoids any risk of pinching the tongue or the palate.
It is an interesting bit for a horse with a sensitive mouth that may be delicate in the direction and/or with a tendency to open the head/neck angle.
Material : A bespoke PVC tube offers an exceptionally soft option, by applying even pressure over the tongue and bars. Particularly suited to the horse that objects to metal. The bombers tube is UV resistant, heavy metal free meaning it is non-toxic and the pigment is FDA approved.
Caution : This material is vulnerable and is not guaranteed by the manufacturer against wear and tear due to biting. We strongly advise against using a bit that is too damaged, as this could injure the horse's bars, tongue and palate.
