Expert opinion
: The single bit is a soft enough bit for horses. Its double break allows the horse to be comfortable by distributing the pressure of the bars/tongue. The Stubben rings have rounded edges at the barrel to avoid any risk of pinching the mouthpiece. The copper roller prevents the horse from "sticking" to the bit and thus helps to relax the horse. Stübben's "Easy Control" bits are double snaffle bits that freeze into a straight bit when the horse freezes on the hand, allowing for more effective control. Then when the horse returns to a lighter contact, the bit softens. The use of the comfort/uncomfort effect allows the horse to understand on its own.
Material
Stainless steel : Stainless steel is a commonly used alloy which has the particularity of not oxidising. Due to their nature, stainless steel jaws are very strong and do not get damaged over time.
Sweet Copper : The central part is made of Sweet Copper. It is made of 90% solid copper, 7% iron and 3% aluminium. It gives off a pleasant flavour for the horse when it comes into contact with its mouth, encouraging it to chew and salivate, thus relaxing its jaw.
