The Limo Bits straight resin short-shank Pelham is particularly suitable for sensitive horses requiring a stable contact, as well as powerful or forward-going horses needing additional control.

Its straight mouthpiece distributes direct pressure across the tongue and bars while providing clearance for the palate. It creates an even contact and can help horses that struggle to establish a consistent connection with a jointed bit.

The resin provides a softer feel in the mouth. The soft version, in red, encourages the horse to seek the contact and work into the rein, while the medium version, in green, helps limit excessive leaning while maintaining a comfortable contact.

The Pelham combines the action of the mouthpiece with leverage on the poll and chin through the curb chain. The short shanks provide a more moderate leverage effect, whose intensity varies according to the curb chain adjustment and whether the bit is used with two or four reins, or with Pelham roundings.

Resin: Resin provides a softer contact that encourages relaxation. It remains at room temperature and provides a soft feel, although it is less supple and thick than rubber. Limo Bits mouthpieces are made from a specific plastic elastomer.
