: The pelham is a compromise between a bridle and a snaffle. It has a leverage effect and can be used with one or two reins. The limb is very short and offers the possibility to have very precise hand actions with small hand actions. The curb chain hooks (included) protect the horse from being pinched. The rubber provides comfort.
Material
Rubber : Rubber bits are frequently used when breaking in young horses. They are often thick and help with contact. Rubber bits are vulnerable and can quickly become damaged, depending on your horse's dentition.
Caution : This material is vulnerable and is not guaranteed by the manufacturer against wear and tear due to biting. We strongly advise against using a bit that is too damaged, as this could injure the horse's bars, tongue and palate.
