Description
The Bombers double-jointed Pelham bit is suitable for horses requiring precise contact while retaining some mobility of the mouthpiece in the mouth.
Its double-jointed mouthpiece features a central lozenge that follows the tongue and limits the nutcracker effect associated with a single-jointed mouthpiece. The two joints allow the mouthpiece to respond independently to each rein aid.
Titanium makes the bit particularly lightweight and smooth to the touch. It also encourages salivation and can promote relaxation and acceptance of the bit.
The Pelham action can be adjusted according to the rein attachment, the length of the shanks and the curb chain setting. When the reins are attached to the upper ring, the action is more direct and slightly lifting, while the lower rings progressively increase the leverage effect.
Curb chain guards can be used to provide additional comfort for sensitive horses.
Material
Titanium is particularly lightweight and smooth to the touch, making the bit more discreet in the horse's mouth. It encourages salivation and relaxation, helping to promote better acceptance of the bit. Its surface is naturally covered with a layer of titanium dioxide.
