Expert opinion
: The Waldhausen soft rubber bit provides comfort in the horse's mouth by distributing pressure points. The bit acts on the tongue and bars. Its straight, soft barrel encourages the horse to come to rest on the bit. It is recommended for horses that tend to shy away from contact, dig their backs in, but also for horses with a sensitive palate or a flat palate.
Material
Rubber : Rubber bits are frequently used when breaking in young horses. They are often thick and help with contact. Rubber bits are vulnerable and can quickly become damaged, depending on your horse's dentition.
Caution : This material is vulnerable and is not guaranteed by the manufacturer against wear and tear due to biting. We strongly advise against using a bit that is too damaged, as this could injure the horse's bars, tongue and palate.
