Eggbut single jointed - Waldhausen

The Waldhausen single-jointed eggbutt snaffle bit is suitable for horses that are relatively uncomplicated in the mouth, less sensitive around the palate and comfortable with a stable, consistent contact.

Its single-jointed mouthpiece applies pressure to the tongue and bars, with possible contact against the palate depending on the horse's mouth conformation and rein action. It provides direct rein aids and precise communication.

Made from stainless steel, this bit features a smooth, corrosion-resistant surface that is easy to maintain. Its neutral taste provides a consistent feel without specifically stimulating salivation.

The eggbutt rings stabilise the mouthpiece and help prevent pinching at the corners of the lips. Their limited rotation provides a more fixed contact than loose rings and allows precise rein aids.
