Eggbut bit: simple mouthpiece quite soft with no risk of pincening the corner of the lips. Rings don't slide, which makes the action more direct. French mouth bits: Avoids pinching of the tongue. More comfortable for the horse, the action is balanced on both sides by the central part. Avoids any action on the palate. This eggbutt bit is quite thin which makes it slightly more severe. It must be used with a good steady hand. The rollers help with decontraction and concentration.
Material: German silver: 65% copper, 23% zinc, 12% nickel, relaxing and solid alloy.
