Expert opinion
Expert opinion : The BR Weymouth bit is a fine anatomical copper bit. The Weymouth is characterized by a non-articulated barrel, and two long legs perpendicular to the barrel. The tongue port reduces the pressure of the bit on the tongue. The size of the legs depends on the precision and action of the bit. It is used with a curb chain. The curb chain allows to vary the intensity of the bit. The leverage can be more or less attenuated. It is advisable to use a curb chain guard for sensitive horses.
