Max short shank combination bit - Fager

The Fager Max short shank combination bit is a customizable bit designed for horses that benefit from rein aids distributed across several pressure points. Its modular design allows the setup to be adapted to the horse's sensitivity and training needs.

The interchangeable system allows riders to select different mouthpieces and adjust their movement using the supplied stabilizers. The mouthpiece can be locked for a more stable, direct contact or allowed greater movement for a softer, more flexible feel.

The combination design distributes rein pressure across the mouth, nose, poll and curb area. This helps reduce the concentration of pressure in the mouth while maintaining precise communication between horse and rider.

The short shanks provide a more moderate leverage effect than longer shanks. The soft, rubber-covered nosepiece helps distribute pressure across the bridge of the nose.

The bit comes with sidepieces, hooks, curb chain, rubber-covered nosepiece, screws and mouthpiece stabilizers. Mouthpieces, alternative shank lengths and nosepieces are available separately.

Rubber: Rubber is a flexible material that provides a softer contact surface. Used on the Fager Max nosepiece, it contributes to the horse's comfort by helping distribute pressure across the bridge of the nose.

Warning: This material is vulnerable and is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty against wear caused by chewing. Using a severely damaged bit is strongly discouraged, as it may injure the horse's bars, tongue or palate.
