Expert opinion: Novocontact bits have an oval shape at the barrel to increase the surface area in contact with the tongue without thickening the bit at the commissures. Novocontact bits are designed to create a unique oval shape that avoids contact surface on the tongue while maintaining constant contact with the rider. As the rider makes contact, the mouthpiece turns forward and the contact surface becomes narrower, ensuring more precise and effective communication. Novocontact barrels improve precision between horse and rider for better contact, more precise but gentle aids and better bit acceptance.

Tests have shown that single-joint novocontact bits are highly recommended for horses that do not accept contact with confidence.

Double-jointed novocontact bits are also ideal for use on horses that sometimes tend to pull against the hand, but are too sensitive to be ridden with stronger bits.

The bridle bit, pelham and goyo aga act on 3 different parts of the horse's head: the bars, the lever action on the nape of the neck, and the curb chain on the mandible (lower part of the jaw). The action of the reins is thus distributed over several pressure points. This enables the rider to give clearer, more precise instructions (especially with the bridle bit), but also more control over strong, powerful horses (especially with the goyo and pelham).

A correct basic education of the horse and good riding ability are recommended for the use of this type of bit.

The horse's chin is very sensitive, and the skin there is very thin, so we recommend the use of a curb chain guard for more sensitive horses.

The pelham can be used with two pairs of reins or wedding rings. Its leverage can vary according to the size of its branches, the position of the reins and the adjustment of the curb chain. The curb chain allows you to vary the intensity of the bit.

Sensogan : This alloy is composed of copper, manganese and zinc. It is the new non-toxic alloy developed by Sprenger, which has been extremely quickly accepted by horses. Sensogan has improved properties but also a completely new appearance. Unlike Aurigan, it oxidizes less violently and salivation is better regulated throughout the working session. In addition, it is less tarnishing : the shine lasts longer and this alloy is easier to maintain.
