Expert opinion : The BR Eggbutt lock up  is a double jointed with a pleasant light touch. It allows a good relaxation of your horse's mouth by a smooth transmission of your aids. Unlike the single jointed which acts on the palate, the double jointed acts on the tongue without causing pain. It is important to know that the palate of the horse is a sensitive area that should not be neglected. Its barrel is thin which allows the horse not to have too much material in the mouth. The eggbutt has oval rings. They turn only along one axis of rotation, which avoids any pinching of the corners of the mouth. The soft contact barrel allows a better distribution of the pressure on the whole tongue. The barrel is anatomically curved. Ideal for horses that are sensitive but may be uneven in contact. The central part of the barrel lies flat on the tongue. This creates more pressure, the thicker the central part, the greater the pressure on the tongue.
