: The BR straight bit provides comfort in the horse's mouth by distributing the pressure points. It acts globally on the tongue and the bars. It is recommended for horses with a sensitive palate or a flat palate. Its straight barrel encourages the horse to come and rest on the bit. It is recommended for horses that tend to run away from the contact, to dig the back, but also for horses with a sensitive palate or a flat palate. This bit, thanks to its rollers, allows a better relaxation, ideal for horses that tend to freeze or have difficulty relaxing.
The loose ring bit allows less direct contact with the mouth, the horse has the possibility to move the bit with his tongue, which improves the relaxation.
Material
Sweet Iron : The Sweet Iron alloy oxidizes in contact with the humidity of the mouth and the air. The oxidation brings a sweet taste that naturally stimulates the production of saliva. This corresponds to the effect of a sugar that is given to the horse at the beginning of the session but allows to diffuse this sweet taste throughout the work. This alloy allows a good acceptance of the bit and helps the horse to get in touch with its mouthpiece. The oxidation modifies the aspect of the bit during the sessions but does not alter its efficiency.
If a Sweet Iron bit is not used for a while, an orange-brown rust layer might appear on the mouthpiece. This can be easily removed by wiping the bit with a damp cloth.
