Expert opinion: Flexible straight bits exert a constant, even pressure on the whole tongue when the reins are tightened. But unlike the rigid straight bit, the pressure becomes stronger on the edges of the tongue and the bars. This bit is recommended for horses that have difficulty making contact and tensing up, but can be strong. Flexible bits are well accepted by sensitive horses who have difficulty accepting articulated bits.

Loose rings transmit rein tension to the tongue and lower jaw, with no leverage on the nape of the neck. Loose rings provide less direct contact, which can help compensate for the rider's unstable and inexperienced hands. The horse also has the opportunity to lift the bit slightly with its tongue, which avoids strong tension on the reins in the short term. Thanks to their mobility, they are also slightly more relaxed. Loose rings are suitable for horses of all disciplines, at various levels of horse training, from young to old.

Material: Rubber bits are softer and should not get in contact with the teeth of your horse. All SPRENGER rubber bits have a steel cable to provide more security.

Caution : This material is vulnerable and is not guaranteed by the manufacturer against wear and tear due to biting. We strongly advise against using a bit that is too damaged, as this could injure the horse's bars, tongue and palate.
