GUSTAV sweet iron single jointed Fullcheek
Sweet iron : Sweet iron alloy oxidizes when in contact with the humidity of the mouth and the air. The oxidation brings a sweet taste which naturally stimulates the production of saliva. This corresponds to the effect of a sugar that is given to the horse at the beginning of the session but allows to diffuse this sweet taste throughout the work. Consequently, this alloy allows a good acceptance of the bit and helps the horse to get in touch with its mouthpiece. The oxydation modifies the aspect of the bit during the sessions.

Expert opinion
The Gustav snaffle bit is a sweet iron single bit. This sweet iron bit is particularly suitable for horses that can pull a little on the bit, while being delicate in direction. The side pins give the horse extra stability while helping to solve steering problems. The sweet iron works effectively to increase acceptance and regular contact. The Gustav barrel has two different installations:
- One offers clearance for the tongue. This is useful for horses with sensitive tongues, which may show this by passing the tongue or being unstable in the forehand with uneven contact.
- The second relieves pressure on the bars and is therefore a good option if the horse is sensitive to the bars and takes the bit in its teeth. The very fine curvature of the barrel provides 80-degree blocking, which protects the mouth from the risk of pinching or discomfort that can be caused by traditional curvatures.
