Poponcini bits are made in Italy, they are known to be extremely pleasant for the horses mouth. 

They are composed of a steel wire and a brass socket at the ends, then a layer of plastic is poured around it, and finally they come to deposit by hand a layer of special silicone, non-toxic of course.  

This assembly is also known as HARMONY : it designates this soft silicone which makes the fame of Poponcini bits. 

Thanks to the Poponcini bits, horses can relax much more easily, the shape of the bits allows horses to close their mouths easily, which makes them calmer and more composed. 

The history of Poponcini bits

The Poponcini Bits brand was created by Giuseppe Poponcini in Italy, he is a mechanical craftsman known for his creations in several fields. Passionate about horseback riding since his youth, he decided to offer a horse to his son. 

After trying different types of bits he realized that this horse with a very sensitive mouth could not stand any bit, rather than buying and trying dozens of new bits he decided to create the perfect bit for his horse. 

After studying the different types of bits and materials, he succeeded in making an exceptional type of mouthpiece that allows the rider and the horse to have a harmonious communication. 

That's why when he decided to create his brand and market his bits he chose to call them Harmony. 

The Poponcini brand was created by Giuseppe Poponcini in Italy. Giuseppe developed his own line of bits while looking for a solution for the sensitive mouth of his son's horse. Giuseppe developed them in order to allow riders to obtain a more harmonious communication with the horses, that's why the bits are called Harmony 1 or 2 depending on their flexibility. The Poponcini bits are distinguished by the shape of the 4-sided square and the integration of the washers in the barrel. This allows the horse to close its mouth more easily and thus make it calmer and more attentive.
