Expert's opinion: The "Elliptical" 4 ring double snaffle bit has an anatomical shape (arched) which allows the barrel to rest simultaneously on the tongue, bars and commissures. Unlike a blocked model, when pressure is exerted on the reins. It will increase more on the bars and commissures than on the tongue, thanks to its curvature. The central olive is in the shape of a flattened diamond to distribute the pressure better on the tongue. This is an interesting bit for horses that are learning and/or may be a little heavy in the hand. The movement allowed by the bit allows the horse to be lifted slightly from the bit. The 4 ring snaffle, with its interplay of rings, avoids fixed points and divides the support. This snaffle is made up of two rings that can move freely between the two rings connected to the barrel. The two free rings are attached to the uprights, while the barrel rings are attached to the reins.

Sweet Iron : Sweet Iron alloy oxidizes upon contact with moisture in the mouth and air. The oxidation brings a sweet taste that naturally stimulates the production of saliva. This corresponds to the effect of a sugar that is given to the horse at the beginning of the session but allows to diffuse this sweet taste throughout the work. Therefore, this alloy allows a good acceptance of the bit and helps the horse to make contact with the mouthpiece. The oxidation modifies the aspect of the bit during the sessions.
