Julia Sweet iron Dee rings - Fager

The Fager Julia Dee Ring Bit is designed for horses that lean on the contact, become strong in the hand, or alternate between avoiding and leaning on the bit. It promotes a steadier connection while encouraging the horse to confidently seek the contact.

Its double-jointed mouthpiece with tongue relief reduces constant tongue pressure. The roller is positioned lower than the joints, creating targeted tongue pressure only when the horse becomes heavy without applying continuous pressure.

Made from Sweet Iron over a stainless steel core, it develops a pleasant sweet taste that encourages salivation and acceptance. The roller also provides something for the horse to play with, making it ideal for horses that become dull in the contact or play with their tongue.

The Dee rings keep the mouthpiece stable, reduce sideways movement and improve steering precision and straightness. This creates a secure, consistent feeling for both horse and rider.

As it naturally oxidises through contact with moisture and saliva, it develops a pleasant sweet taste that encourages salivation and helps the horse accept the bit and seek a steadier contact. Over time, the surface gradually turns brownish-grey, which is a completely normal characteristic of the material.
