Expert opinion : The Pessoa bit is a lowering bit where you can hang the reins fixed on the bottom ring or with rings on the middle and bottom ring. The straight bit is soft. It allows for a symmetrical contact, which is why some riders use it as soon as they break-in.
Rubber : The strength of the bit is ensured by a flexible steel cable inside the rubber. The rubber bit is softer for horses with delicate mouths. The rubber bits are very flexible, the goal being to remove a maximum of compression on the tongue and bars of the horse in order to offer comfort and optimal contact between the rider and his horse.
Caution : This material is vulnerable and is not guaranteed by the manufacturer against wear and tear due to biting. We strongly advise against using a bit that is too damaged, as this could injure the horse's bars, tongue and palate.
