Expert opinion : The SARA 2 ring bit is an extra light titanium bit with a straight barrel and a slight anatomical curve. It offers stability and serenity to the horse due to the constant position of the barrel in the mouth. The straight bit allows symmetrical "left/right" contact of the hand action on the horse's mouth. This reduces the pressure through a better distribution of the pressure. This is why some riders use it as soon as they break-in. The advanced tongue passage allows more comfort for the horse as it frees up space for the tongue and allows pressure to be exerted on the bars, commissures and tongue simultaneously. The loose rings offer a soft contact to the mouth. They allow for a slight indirect contact compared to fixed rings, making it easier to play in the fingers and limiting excessive tension. The titanium alloy allows the bit to be very light and relaxed. This further reduces the pressure which makes it a very well accepted alloy. It is therefore interesting for a horse that has difficulty settling on its bit and/or a sensitive horse that might have a tendency to stick its tongue out.

Titanium : The titanium alloy has several advantages. First of all, it is an ultra-light bit that is soft to the touch, which makes it more discreet for the horse and therefore more comfortable. It helps to relieve tension in the cervical region. Titanium is relaxing, it promotes the production of saliva, which helps to relax the neck muscles. The titanium is covered with dioxide which makes it anti-bacterial.
