Expert opinion : The Goyo Aga SARA bit from Fager is an extra light titanium bit with a straight barrel and a slight anatomical curve. It offers stability and serenity to the horse due to the constant position of the barrel in the mouth. The straight bit allows symmetrical "left/right" contact of the hand action in the horse's mouth. This reduces the pressure through a better distribution of the pressure. This is why some riders use it as soon as they break-in. The advanced tongue passage allows more comfort for the horse as it frees up space for the tongue and allows the pressure to be exerted more simultaneously on the bars, commissures and tongue. This is an interesting bit for horses that have difficulty settling on their bit and/or sensitive horses that may have a tendency to stick their tongue out. This bit has a fairly strong action as it is used with a curb chain and puts pressure on the bars with a leverage effect on the neck. It is mainly used for horses with a lot of natural impulsion and can be used in 3 ways:
- Soft, with the reins attached to the top notch, it is halfway between the effect of the olive bit and the baucher.
- Severe, with the reins in the bottom notch, where the leverage is greater.
- Medium, with the reins in the middle notch, where the leverage is less important than if you put the rein at the bottom. The curb chain, if it is more or less tight makes the bit more or less severe.

Titanium : The titanium alloy has several advantages. First of all, it is an ultra-light bit that is soft to the touch, which makes it more discreet for the horse and therefore more comfortable. It helps to relieve tension in the cervical region. Titanium is relaxing, it promotes the production of saliva, which helps to relax the neck muscles. The titanium is covered with dioxide which makes it anti-bacterial.
