The Abbey loose ring roller bit is a double jointed that offers a simple contact. It allows a better relaxation of your horse's mouth by a smoother transmission of your aids. Unlike the single jointed which acts on the palate, the double jointed acts on the tongue without causing pain. It is important to know that the palate of the horse is a sensitive area that should not be neglected. The copper roller allows the horse to relax and to concentrate more on his mouthpiece. It also helps to avoid passing the tongue in some horses. The loose rings offer a soft contact to the mouth. They allow for a slight indirect contact compared to fixed rings, making it easier to play in the fingers and limiting excessive tension.
Material
Stainless steel : Stainless steel is a common material that does not oxidise. Due to their nature, stainless steel bits are very solid and do not damage over time. This bit has copper rollers which gives the horse a pleasant taste when it comes into contact with the mouth. The rollers encourages the horse to play with the bit, resulting in salivation and increasing the relaxation of the mouth.
