Expert opinion : The Feeling Verdun bit is a simple bit that offers a simple contact. It allows a good relaxation of your horse's mouth by a smoother transmission of your aids. Unlike the double bit which acts on the tongue, the single bit acts on the palate. It is important to know that the palate of the horse is a sensitive area that should not be neglected. It can be recommended for horses that are relatively easy on the mouth, not very sensitive on the palate or with a hollow palate. The Verdun bit has D-shaped rings, it has a slight leverage action. They rotate only along one axis of rotation, which prevents pinching of the corner of the mouth. The flat side of the D-ring makes this bit more directional than an olive or ring snaffle but less so than a needle bit. The passes fix the bit and allow a more direct action.
