Unlike the double bit which acts on the tongue, the single bit acts on the palate. It is important to know that the palate of the horse is a sensitive area that should not be neglected. It can be recommended for horses with a relatively sensitive palate or a hollow palate. The "pinchless" joint is a mechanism that prevents involuntary pinching of the tongue or corners of the mouth. It allows the bit to never constrain the tongue movements. It dissociates the rider's hand actions. It helps to provide confidence for the horse in the rider's hand.
