Expert opinion : The Sensitive wave straight bit provides a consistent and symmetrical contact. It helps to make contact with the bit and is best suited for horses that have difficulty with stainless steel bits, or that may be heavy and uneven in contact. The straight barrel exerts direct pressure on the tongue and bars, while freeing the palate. The straight barrel provides symmetrical left/right hand-to-mouth contact and eliminates any risk of tongue pinching. The new design, which features a multitude of small "waves", is a great help when working with horses with hardened or naturally special and sensitive mouths. Horses learn to release the bit in a more natural way. The light structure of the waves stimulates the horse's chewing activity, while helping him to approach his bit. It is a bit with an integrated and flexible steel reinforcement for more safety and comfort. The D-rings of the Verdun will allow to obtain an excellent lateral framing and a more direct contact of the hand towards the mouth as well as a very light lever. This leverage is achieved because the space between the snaffle post and the rein is greater than on a ring with olives or a free ring. On the sensitive bit, the reins are positioned in a fixed way for a more direct contact.
