Expert opinion: Straight, rigid bits exert constant, even pressure on the whole tongue. Compared to a double snaffle bit, the straight bit with tongue passage releases the pressure on the tongue and stresses the bars. The greater the rein tension, the greater the pressure on the tongue and lower jaw. Recommended for horses that have difficulty making contact but can become heavy and strong. Straight bits promote contact, rein tension and stability.

Loose rings transfer rein tension to the tongue and lower jaw without leverage on the neck. Loose rings provide less direct contact, which can help compensate for the rider's unstable and inexperienced hands. The horse also has the opportunity to lift the bit slightly with its tongue, which avoids strong tension on the reins in the short term. Thanks to their mobility, they are also slightly more relaxed. Loose rings are suitable for horses of all disciplines, at various levels of horse training, from young to old.

Sensogan : This alloy is composed of copper, manganese and zinc. It is the new non-toxic alloy developed by Sprenger, which has been extremely quickly accepted by horses. Sensogan has improved properties but also a completely new appearance. Unlike Aurigan, it oxidizes less violently and salivation is better regulated throughout the working session. In addition, it is less tarnishing : the shine lasts longer and this alloy is easier to maintain.
