Expert opinion : The Trust pelham bit with tongue passage has many advantages thanks to its alloy and the shape of its barrel. It provides comfort for horses that are sensitive in the mouth and have difficulty stretching. The anatomy of the bit offers maximum space for the tongue and its tongue passage allows an optimal distribution of pressure on the bars, the tongue and the commissures. The fact that it is straight ensures symmetrical left/right contact from the hand to the mouth and eliminates any risk of pinching the tongue. All these elements will allow the horse to gain confidence in its mouthpiece, to come to rest and to stretch itself. Innosense resin is smooth and soft to the touch, so it can even be considered for horses that have difficulty salivating. The rigid resin prevents your horse from leaning too much on the bit while promoting contact. While the soft resin encourages the horse to stretch. A light contact of the horse on his bit will contribute to improve the locomotion of the horse through the engagement of the hindquarters. The pelham is a fixed lever bit. Through its action on the horse's neck and chin (mandible), it has a more or less important lowering effect depending on the size of the branches and its installation (two or four rein adjustment, rings, curb chain). It is interesting on powerful horses and/or horses with a relatively high blood pressure to channel their energy. The curb chain allows to vary the intensity of the bit. It is advisable to use curb chain protectors for sensitive horses.

> Sold with curb chain.

Resin : The Innosense Resin in Trust bits is smooth. It has a metal shaft which ensures the different flexibilities of the bit to guarantee the solidity of the bit while the resin allows to bring comfort to the horse. Where it is important for the horse to salivate a little on rough materials to avoid irritation, the Innosense resin is smooth and soft to the touch and can even be considered for horses that have difficulty salivating. It is made from a plastic material for food use.

Caution : This material is vulnerable and is not guaranteed by the manufacturer against wear and tear due to biting. We strongly advise against using a bit that is too damaged, as this could injure the horse's bars, tongue and palate.
