Unlike the double snaffle bit which acts on the tongue, the single snaffle bit acts on the palate. It is important to know that the palate of the horse is a sensitive area that should not be neglected. It can be recommended for horses that are relatively easy but sensitive in the mouth, not very sensitive in the palate or with a hollow palate. The "pinchless" joint is a mechanism that prevents involuntary pinching of the tongue or corners of the mouth. It allows the bit to never constrain the movements of the tongue. It dissociates the rider's hand actions. It helps to provide confidence for the horse in the rider's hand. It improves the connection and relaxation of the horse. This bit has the particularity of resembling the bridle bit, but in contrast it still has a large ring in the barrel, which allows a second pair of reins or a pair of rings to be attached.
