Eggbut bit: simple mouthpiece quite soft with no risk of pincening the corner of the lips. Rings don't slide, which makes the action more direct. French mouth bits: Avoids pinching of the tongue. More comfortable for the horse, the action is balanced on both sides by the central part. Avoids any action on the palate. This is a very simple eggbutt bit that suits perfectly youngster for break-in or for older horses on a daily basis. The sweet iron is a special mouthpiece that help your horse relax by making your horse salivate on the bit.
Material: Sweet iron- Blue steel: 54% carbon, 46% manganèse. Sweet iron bits gets oxidized with air and humidity. Then comes a thin line of rust has a sweet taste, and stimulates the saliva. By getting more saliva the horse gets more contact on its bit. The oxydation process will change the color to grey - brown.
