Description
: The GUSTAV loose rings bit is a sweet iron single ring bit. The free rings offer a slightly discontinuous contact between the hand and the horse's mouth so that it is easier to play in the fingers and to encourage the horse to come and lighten up in his forehand. It allows two different installations:
- One provides clearance for the tongue. This use is interesting for horses with a sensitive tongue, which can show it by passing the tongue or by being unstable in the forehand with an irregular contact.
- The second one relieves the pressure on the bars and is therefore a good option if the horse is sensitive to the bars, and takes the bit in the teeth. The very fine muzzle break offers an 80 degree blocking which protects the mouth from the risk of pinching or discomfort that can be caused by traditional breaks.
Material
Sweet Iron : Sweet Iron alloy oxidizes upon contact with moisture in the mouth and air. The oxidation brings a sweet taste that naturally stimulates the production of saliva. This corresponds to the effect of a sugar that is given to the horse at the beginning of the session but allows to diffuse this sweet taste throughout the work. Therefore, this alloy allows a good acceptance of the bit and helps the horse to make contact with the mouthpiece. The oxidation modifies the aspect of the bit during the sessions.
