Expert opinion : The Eggbutt Cheek allows the rider to get direct contact with the mouth of the horse. This type of mouthpiece is also available in loose ring, pelham, universal, gag and more.
The "cable" bit is a bit that is between the anatomical bit and the soft bit. It limits the pressure on the tongue thanks to the absence of a central olive. The anatomically shaped barrel allows the bit to rest on the bars, commissures and tongue simultaneously to divide the pressure and promote bit acceptance. The flexible cable allows the bit to maintain its initial position as long as no pressure is applied to the reins. As soon as pressure is applied to the reins, the bit flexes and the pressure increases more on the bars and commissures than on the tongue. The cable prevents any risk of pinching. Then, as soon as the pressure decreases, the bit immediately returns to its initial position, which offers a lot of peace of mind for the horse. It is very interesting to work on the flexibility of a horse because it avoids any break in the tension of the mouth. Moreover, the flexion of the cable allows an independent action of one rein in relation to the other thanks to the pivot allowed by the central cable. Compared to the double break model, this one will be slightly softer in the action.

Sweet Iron : Sweet Iron alloy oxidizes upon contact with moisture in the mouth and air. The oxidation brings a sweet taste that naturally stimulates the production of saliva. This corresponds to the effect of a sugar that is given to the horse at the beginning of the session but allows to diffuse this sweet taste throughout the work. Therefore, this alloy allows a good acceptance of the bit and helps the horse to make contact with the mouthpiece. The oxydation modifies the aspect of the bit during the sessions.
Caution : The central material (cable) is vulnerable and is not guaranteed by the manufacturer against wear and tear due to biting. We strongly advise against using a bit that is too damaged, as this could injure the horse's bars, tongue and palate.
