Expert opinion : The BR Baby Pelham double break bit has removable legs. It is made of solid stainless steel with cuprigan fittings on the barrel and two small cuprigan rings in the middle. The soft contact barrel allows a better distribution of the pressure on the whole tongue. The barrel is anatomically curved. Ideal for horses that are sensitive but may be uneven in contact. The central part of the barrel lies flat on the tongue. This creates more pressure, the thicker the central part, the greater the pressure on the tongue. The bit has a fast action in the mouth. The barrel thickness is 14 mm and the total length of the legs is 102 mm. A Pelham bit can be used with Pelham rings and single reins as well as with double reins. The bit is suitable for powerful horses with a large amplitude. The leverage helps to bend the horse's neck; the longer the legs, the stronger the action.
Cuprigan : Cuprigan is an alloy of 89% copper, 7% aluminum, 3% iron and 1% zinc. The oxidation process of the material spreads a pleasant smell and taste. The combination of the design and the unique composition of Cuprigan helps to stimulate chewing and salivation, resulting in a delicate connection with the sensitive mouth of the horse.
