Expert opinion: This bit has many advantages. It provides comfort for horses that are sensitive in the mouth and find it difficult to tense up. The anatomy of the bit provides maximum space for the tongue and its "arch" distributes pressure evenly over the bars, tongue and commissures. The fact that it is straight ensures symmetrical left/right contact from the hand to the mouth and eliminates any risk of pinching the tongue. All these elements will enable the horse to gain confidence in its mouthpiece, to come to rest and to tense up. This bit is particularly suitable for horses that cannot tolerate pressure on the tongue and react by shaking their head, for example.
The eggbutt bit offers the most direct contact with the mouth and thus helps to encourage the horse to come and seek tension. It protects the commissures from any risk of pinching.
Bomber Blue : The nylon composite material is light in the mouth and encourages salivation while the port offers tongue relief. It is particularly well suited to horses that object to metal mouth pieces.The material is non-toxic with a stainless steel core.
Caution : This material is vulnerable and is not guaranteed by the manufacturer against wear and tear due to biting. We strongly advise against using a bit that is too damaged, as this could injure the horse's bars, tongue and palate.
