Expert opinion : The Zilco straight rubber pelham bit provides comfort in the horse's mouth by distributing pressure points. It acts globally on the tongue and bars. It is recommended for horses with sensitive palates or flat palates. The straight bit gives the rider a symmetrical action. Its straight barrel encourages the horse to come to rest on the bit. It is recommended for horses that tend to run away from contact or dig their backs in, as well as horses with a sensitive palate or a flat palate. This bit is similar to the bridle bit, but it still has a large ring in the barrel, allowing a second pair of reins or a pair of rings to be attached. Its leverage can vary depending on the size of the prongs, the position of the reins and the adjustment of the curb chain. The curb chain allows you to vary the intensity of the bit. We recommend using curb chain protectors for sensitive horses.
Rubber : Stainless steel with TPU covered mouthpiece for horses with sensitive mouths. TPU is a non-toxic synthetic polymer that is more durable than rubber.
