Owen Sweet Gold loose ring tongue port
QUANTITY
Expert opinion : The Owen 2 ring bit is a straight bit with a slight anatomical curve. It offers stability and serenity to the horse because of the constant position of the barrel in the mouth. The straight bit allows a symmetrical "left/right" contact of the hand action on the horse's mouth. This reduces the pressure through a better distribution of the pressure. This is why some riders use it as soon as they break-in. The advanced tongue passage allows more comfort for the horse as it frees up space for the tongue and allows pressure to be exerted more simultaneously on the bars, commissures and tongue. The loose rings offer a soft contact to the mouth. They allow for a slight indirect contact compared to fixed rings, making it easier to play in the fingers and limiting excessive tension. The alloy helps the horse to relax and accept the bit. It is therefore interesting for a horse that has difficulty settling on the bit and/or a sensitive horse that may have a tendency to stick out its tongue.
Sweet Gold: Sweet Gold alloy contains copper, making it softer. It has a pleasant taste for the horse, encouraging salivation and relaxation.
