Expert opinion : The Beris FULMER straight, comfort barrel bit provides constant, stable, symmetrical contact. It helps the horse make contact and is ideal for horses that find it difficult to tense up with articulated bits. The straight barrel exerts direct pressure on the tongue and bars, while freeing the palate. The fact that it is straight ensures symmetrical left/right contact from the hand to the mouth and eliminates any risk of pinching the tongue. All these features enable the horse to gain confidence in its mouthpiece, to come to rest and stretch. The Hard barrel is ideal for horses with sensitive mouths that tend to lean slightly. The Soft bit is ideal for sensitive horses who need to rest lightly on the hand. Comfort bits are characterized by a very slight curvature of the mouthpiece. This anatomically shaped mouthpiece rests lightly and evenly on the tongue, giving it more room and freedom. When gripping the reins, the pressure on the lower jaw and tongue is even. This prevents the tongue and bars from jamming sideways.  The slim barrel optimizes the bit's position in your horse's mouth. Ideal for horses with small mouths.

The Fulmer bit is a particular kind of snaffle bit: it gives the horse good lateral guidance. This can be a particularly important advantage with powerful horses, as well as with young, inexperienced horses requiring precise guidance. This bit is generally used by show jumpers to make tight turns. A simple needle-net sits very stably in the mouth. However, there are also horses who prefer a mobile bit. Such mobility is achieved with the Fulmer bit thanks to the use of a ring that can rotate freely. The Fulmer bit is also perfect for horses that need good lateral control, but which tend with a needle snaffle to stand on the bit or buck.

Resin: Beris bits are made of resin, with a specially smooth surface that allows the bit to slide into the horse's mouth without the "gumming" effect that traditional resin bits can cause. This material is so smooth and soft to the touch that it can even be considered for horses that have difficulty salivating. This resin is made from a plastic material for food use. A real asset to obtain chewing and a good acceptance of the bit thanks to its soft touch and its ambient temperature.

> Handcrafted.

Caution : This material is vulnerable and is not guaranteed by the manufacturer against wear and tear due to biting. We strongly advise against using a bit that is too damaged, as this could injure the horse's bars, tongue and palate.
