Expert opinion : The Pelham from Beris is a double jointed made of resin which offers a light and softer contact than sweet iron or stainless steel. It allows a good relaxation of the mouth of your horse by its alloy. Unlike the single jointed which acts on the palate, the double jointed acts on the tongue without causing pain. It is important to know that the palate of the horse is a sensitive area that should not be neglected. This bit offers stability for horses that need to seek more contact without being too stiff. A very comfortable bit that forms naturally on the tongue due to its anatomy.
This bit resembles the bridle bit, but has a large ring in the barrel, allowing you to attach a second pair of reins or a pair of wedding rings. Its leverage can vary according to the size of the prongs, the position of the reins and the setting of the curb chain. The curb chain allows you to vary the intensity of the bit. We recommend the use of curb chain protectors for sensitive horses.

Resin : Beris bits are made of resin, with a specially smooth surface that allows the bit to slide into the horse's mouth without the "gumming" effect that traditional resin bits can cause. This material is so smooth and soft to the touch that it can even be considered for horses that have difficulty salivating. This resin is made from a plastic material for food use. A real asset to obtain chewing and a good acceptance of the bit thanks to its soft touch and its ambient temperature.
