The wood is an alloy which gives a natural taste to the horse and contributes to the salivation of the horse. It is a rigid bit not suitable for sensitive horses.
Please note: We cannot guarantee wear and tear due to horse bites.
Rubber bits are frequently used when breaking in young horses. They are often thick and help with contact. Rubber bits are vulnerable and can quickly become damaged, depending on your horse's dentition.
It is strongly advised not to use a bit that is too damaged, as this could injure the horse's bars, tongue and palate. Please also ensure that your horse salivates sufficiently to avoid the risk of overheating.
The Carbon alloy ensures more comfort for the horse by adapting to the temperature of the mouth. It allows a better salivation. It is a rigid alloy.
Leather is a natural material that is very pleasant for the horse and stimulates chewing and salivation.
> The production of saliva softens the leather and makes it more pleasant for the horse.

Leather is a vulnerable material, it is strongly advised not to use a bit that is too damaged, as this could injure the horse's bars, tongue and palate.
There are many different combinations of copper, depending on the brand. The oxidation process of the material spreads a pleasant smell and taste, which promotes relaxation, salivation and chewing.
The "Jumpe" material is a cut-resistant, non-fraying twisted fibre that is highly resistant to UV radiation, does not absorb water and is easy to clean.
The special aluminium alloy is light, durable, prevents corrosion and guarantees a long product life.
Please note: We cannot guarantee wear and tear due to horse bites.
Stainless steel is an alloy of iron, chromium and nickel and is highly resistant to biting. Its taste is neutral, it does not have saliva-activating properties, so it does not increase the horse's chewing activity.
The foam bit has a nylon barrel with a thick layer of foam. The rings are made of stainless steel. Please note that we cannot guarantee wear and tear due to horse bites on the foam.
The resin provides a softer contact that encourages relaxation. They remain at room temperature and offer a soft but less tender and thick contact than a rubber bit
Caution: Resin bits are particularly vulnerable, it is strongly advised not to use a bit that is too damaged, as this could injure the horse's bars, tongue and palate.
Sweet iron oxidises on contact with the moisture in the mouth and the air. The oxidation gives a sweet taste that naturally stimulates the production of saliva. This corresponds to the effect of a sugar given to the horse at the beginning of the session but allows this sweet taste to be diffused throughout the work. Consequently, this alloy allows a good acceptance of the bit and helps the horse to make contact with the mouthpiece. The oxidation modifies the appearance of the bit as the sessions progress.
This alloy does not require any specific maintenance other than a daily rinse with water.
Titanium alloy has several advantages: It is ultra-light and soft to the touch, so it is more discreet for the horse and therefore more comfortable. It helps to relieve tension in the neck area. It is relaxing and promotes the production of saliva, which helps to relax the neck muscles. Titanium is non-toxic and hypoallergenic. Warm to the touch, titanium adapts very quickly to the temperature of your horse's mouth, offering greater comfort than steel bits, allowing for better acceptance of the mouthpiece.
The grey colour of the barrel is a natural consequence of the production process, no colouring is used.
The new Waldhausen copper bits with 62% copper promote chewing and the flow of saliva. The copper alloy is nickel-free, the rings are made of stainless steel.
