Expert opinion : The BR Verdun is a double jointed with a pleasant light contact. It allows a good relaxation of your horse's mouth by a smooth transmission of your aids. Unlike the single jointed which acts on the palate, the double jointed acts on the tongue without causing pain. It is important to know that the palate of the horse is a sensitive area that should not be neglected. Its barrel is thin which allows the horse not to have too much material in the mouth. The Verdun bit has D-shaped rings, it has a slight leverage action. They only rotate along one axis of rotation, which avoids pinching the corners of the mouth. The flat side of the D-ring makes this bit more directional than an olive or ring snaffle but less so than a needle bit. The soft contact barrel allows a better distribution of the pressure on the whole tongue. The barrel is anatomically curved. Ideal for horses that are sensitive but may be uneven in contact. The central part of the barrel lies flat on the tongue. This creates more pressure, the thicker the middle part, the more pressure on the tongue.
Cuprigan : Cuprigan is an alloy of 89% copper, 7% aluminum, 3% iron and 1% zinc. The oxidation process of the material spreads a pleasant smell and taste. The combination of the design and the unique composition of Cuprigan helps to stimulate chewing and salivation, resulting in a delicate connection with the sensitive mouth of the horse.
